Role Summary
The Store Keeper will be responsible for the efficient and safe management of all inventory within the warehouse/store facility. This critical role ensures accurate stock levels, smooth inflow and outflow of materials, and maintains the integrity and organization of the storage area for essential building and construction supplieKey Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately count all incoming building materials (e.g., steel, cement, pipes, lumber, hardware, electrical items) against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Systematically store materials in designated locations, optimizing space utilization and ensuring easy accessibility.
- Investigate and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately to the Warehouse Manager.
- Manage the inventory system (manual or digital) to ensure all movements (inwards, outwards, transfers) are accurately logged in real-time.
Essential:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehousing is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Store Keeper, Store Assistant, or similar role, specifically within the Building Materials, Construction, or related Supply/Logistics industry in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of various building materials, components, and their storage requirements.
Desirable:
- Valid UAE Forklift Operator license (if required for the specific warehouse).
- Physical stamina to handle and manage heavy materials as required by the job.
