As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day management of the Italian Restaurant, leading all aspects of service, team performance, and guest satisfaction.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly do:
- Take full ownership of the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all shifts
- Lead, train, and supervise the front-of-house team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability
- Maintain and elevate service standards, ensuring every guest receives personalized and memorable hospitality
- Monitor and manage operational budgets, labor costs, inventory, and purchasing in line with financial targets
- Collaborate closely with the culinary and bar teams to ensure consistency and excellence in food and beverage offerings
- Drive guest satisfaction scores and manage feedback through proactive communication and service recovery
- Develop and implement service procedures, SOPs, and promotional activities to enhance the outlet’s performance
- Ensure full compliance with hygiene, health & safety, and IHG brand standards
- Act as the face and leader of the restaurant, building strong relationships with both regular and new guests
- Report regularly on performance metrics to the senior F&B leadership team
What we need from you:
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a high-end restaurant, preferably with Italian cuisine
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a busy, fine dining environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to manage costs, revenue, and overall outlet performance
- Guest-oriented mindset with a strong eye for detail and service excellence
- Fluent in English; Italian or additional languages are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
