About The Role
As Assistant Manager for F&B Events you will be responsible for planning, promoting, and ensuring the success of events in our F&B outlets. You will secure the business, plan events, co-ordinate with the F&B team and clients before, during and after each event and your role will include key responsibilities such as:
- Handling events enquiries according to standard procedures.
- Preparing event proposals, contracts, and budgets, ensuring all details are accurately documented.
- Conducting site inspections, client entertainment, and familiarization.
- Acting as a point of contact for clients during detailed event planning and work closely with food & beverage operations and the culinary team.
- Coordination on the day of an event.
- Ensuring a smooth communication across hotel departments for seamless event execution
- Handling follow-ups, and post-event feedback to ensure continuous improvement in service quality
- Assisting in the development and implementation of sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Ensuring all events comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including obtaining necessary permits and licenses.
- Managing the event calendar, ensuring optimal use of the venues.
- Working closely with the F&B team to achieve monthly sales target.
- Handling administrative tasks such as weekly events reports and menus/toolkits update.
- Maintaining an up-to-date database of clients, vendors, and event contacts, ensuring all information is current and accessible.
About You
We are looking for candidates with minimum of 1-2 years’ experience with a similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant who can demonstrate the below skills and competencies:
- Outgoing, confident, good communication skills with the right attitude, who is flexible and a great team player who works well under pressure analytical thinking, sincere and dependable
- Committed and passionate about Food and Beverage a dynamic, energetic, creative individual with a positive “can do” attitude.
- Confident to deal with peers and senior colleagues and has the ability to empower others to make decisions
- Excellent business admin skills with experience in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, POS systems, Restaurant Reservations Systems Good all-round business admin skills
- P&L financial awareness with experience in managing food & beverage costs and inventory control.
- Good acumen on new worldwide market trends
