Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role. the Assistant Accountant will play a key role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, Invoice and expense entry and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
Job responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting tasks, including financial data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Handle customer invoicing and ensure proper allocation of payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Reconcile customer payments for bookings, reservations, and service fees, ensuring accurate allocation of funds.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, and allocation of payments and collections.
- Report and process refunds and cancellations, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer service standards.
- Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation.
- Assist with VAT calculations and compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the travel, tourism, or service industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Well-versed in accounting fundamentals and proficient in GL Accounting.
- Experience in financial data entry and accounting tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting and M.I.S software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent in Interpersonal communication.
