About the Role
Azaya Marketing is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, prior hands-on experience in the UAE market, and the ability to support daily financial operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations.
- Record financial transactions, prepare vouchers, and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Support in preparing invoices, processing payments, and reconciling bank statements.
- Assist in accounts receivable/payable functions and follow-ups with clients/vendors.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist the finance team with ad hoc tasks and reports as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of UAE experience in accounting/finance.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar).
- Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Knowledge of payroll processing.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
