Job Summary
We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant / Commis Chef who is hardworking, reliable, and fluent in Tagalog, to join our growing culinary team. The ideal candidate should have previous F&B or restaurant kitchen experience in Dubai and a genuine interest in Filipino cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and plating.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations.
- Support in receiving, labeling, and storing ingredients properly.
- Ensure timely preparation of mise en place before each service.
- Assist in cooking Filipino dishes under the guidance of the Head or Sous Chef.
- Minimize food wastage through proper portioning and storage.
- Work as part of a team to deliver consistent quality and service.
Requirements
- Fluent in Tagalog (English communication is a plus).
- At least 2 year of kitchen or F&B experience in Dubai or the UAE.
- Familiarity with Filipino cuisine is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic food handling and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
