Rolling Stock ManagerMissions/Main Duties :

  • Lead and manage the rolling stock workstream for the high-speed rail project, from concept through to delivery and handover.
  • Oversee rolling stock procurement processes including specification preparation, tender evaluation, and contractor management.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (track, signalling, electrification, stations, maintenance) to ensure integration of rolling stock systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to monitor manufacturing, assembly, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, standards (UIC, EN, etc.), and client specifications.
  • Review and assess technical designs, modifications, and performance data.
  • Develop and manage rolling stock project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Ensure the implementation of safety, reliability, and quality standards across all rolling stock activities.
  • Provide technical support and advice to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Facilitate acceptance testing, trial operations, and project handover.
  • Lead troubleshooting and problem resolution related to rolling stock issues.
  • Support asset management and maintenance strategy development for rolling stock.

Profile/Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related field.

Background:

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in rolling stock management, with a strong focus on rail/high-speed rail or transportation sectors.
  • Proven track record in rolling stock procurement, systems integration, testing, and commissioning.
  • Good understanding of international and regional railway standards and regulations.
  • Experience in project management within consultancy or client organisations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Preferably with GCC and UAE Experience.
  • Fluent in English.
