Warehouse Keeper

JOB PURPOSE

The Warehouse Keeper is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and issuing goods and materials for use in retail operations and supporting activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Place orders for goods and materials from local suppliers, receive them and meticulously check shipments for defects or damages, ensuring the delivery matches the requested quantity. Promptly report any discrepancies, damages, or short receipts.
  • Ensure proper storage of goods/materials in compliance with stock management standards and any updated rules provided by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Perform regular stock check-ups to ensure that inventory records match physical items stored in the warehouse/storage areas.
  • Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and minor maintenance of lifting and stacking equipment to minimize any unplanned operational interruptions and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
  • Ensure all operating, safety, environment, and quality procedures are followed to ensure the highest standards of warehousing operations.
  • Specific for Multimedia: Inspect received goods for defects or damages ensuring delivery of requested quantity and reporting any discrepancy to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor. Promptly locate and issue stored items upon requisition to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

LANGUAGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

EDUCATION

High school diploma.
