Position Overview
BG Group is hiring a dependable Storekeeper to manage materials for our luxury villa and landscaping projects. In addition to store management, this role carries responsibility for logistics coordination, ensuring that materials move smoothly between suppliers, storage, and project sites. The Storekeeper will help maintain accurate inventory while also supporting timely deliveries to ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, check, and record all incoming materials against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Store materials properly, ensuring safety, accessibility, and compliance with company standards.
- Issue materials to project sites as per approved requests and track their movement.
- Support logistics by arranging deliveries from store to sites and coordinating with drivers and transport companies.
- Monitor stock levels and inform procurement of upcoming requirements to avoid shortages.
- Maintain updated inventory records (receipts, issues, returns, transfers) using ERP or manual systems.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report any discrepancies.
- Assist in handling returns of unused or damaged materials with suppliers and site teams.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or high school certificate; training in logistics/supply chain is an advantage.
- 5 years of experience as a Storekeeper in construction, preferably with luxury villa projects.
- Knowledge of inventory management and basic logistics processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills for working with suppliers, drivers, and site teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
