Full job description
To ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Responsible for promoting a safe workplace, preventing accidents, and supporting continuous improvement in safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s Health & Safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports with root cause analysis and corrective measures.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and contractors.
- Maintain records of incidents, inspections, permits, and training.
- Support management in achieving health, safety, and environmental performance targets.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness for fire, medical, and other emergencies.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, external auditors, and contractors on HSE matters.
