Job Summary:
Flare Burger is seeking a passionate and reliable Assistant Chef to support our kitchen operations in delivering high-quality gourmet burgers and side dishes. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of burgers, sides, and sauces according to Flare Burger’s recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistent portion sizes, presentation, and quality of all menu items.
- Support the Head Chef with inventory management, receiving, and stock rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
- Follow food safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
- Help in daily opening and closing duties of the kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line cook, commis chef, or assistant chef (burger or fast-casual experience preferred).
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with UAE food hygiene and safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary diploma or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of international burger trends and creative input on specials is a bonus.
- Arabic and/or English language proficiency.
