Job Summary:

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high standards of service, quality, and compliance. This role involves managing staff, optimizing financial performance, and implementing strategies to achieve the restaurant’s business goals in line with hospitality industry standards in Dubai, UAE.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinating daily restaurant management operations
  • Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction
  • Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
  • Estimate future needs for goods, utensils and cleaning products for the restaurant.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge.
  • Market knowledge
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • The physical ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Familiarity with restaurant management softwares
  • Great professional ethics
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
  • Acute financial management skills
  • BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
