Bookstore Keeper

Job Purpose

Ensuring that the bookstore is managed in an effective and efficient manner in order to ensure SABIS® books are available for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the students in meeting their needs for purchase of books, stationery, and school accessories
  • Responsible for opening and closing of the bookstore punctually
  • Undertake regular inventory of the books, stationery and accessories, and report to the supervisor
  • Maintain a list of suppliers and update them regularly
  • Maintain price revisions on textbook and accessories inventory, as and when needed
  • Coordinate the processing of invoices for all orders received against delivery
  • Coordinate the processing of returning of unsold/excess textbooks and accessories
  • Maintain cordial relations with the team, and assist them on office duties when needed
  • Assist in placing order for textbooks, stationery, and accessories; compare prices and help make judicious decision on best deals
  • Assist in the processing of online orders, deliveries and returns
  • Ensure that the bookstore is kept clean, tidy, and orderly always
  • Assist in staffing the store during special events outside of normal operating hours

Ideal Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent
  • English Proficient
  • MS Office needed components
  • Communication Skills
  • Ability to work within a team

Employment Requirements:
