Job Summary:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure a high-quality dining experience, efficient service, and profitability. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food and service standards, maintaining health and safety compliance, and achieving financial goals. The Restaurant Manager leads by example, fosters a positive work environment, and drives operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house coordination.
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage restaurant staff to ensure excellent service and team performance.
- Monitor and maintain food quality, presentation, and customer service standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and licensing regulations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and oversee vendor relationships to ensure cost efficiency.
- Prepare and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations to promote development and accountability.
- Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase customer engagement and revenue.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, payroll, inventory, and expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in a restaurant supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety, labor laws, and customer service standards.
- Proficient with POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
