Overview Of The Role:
The Sales Assistant is a key role in the IKEA retail operation, tasked with driving sales generation and ensuring customers have a positive experience in the market hall area. The role supports operational duties assigned by the shopkeeper, such as arranging products and maintaining the sales floor. Success in this role is characterized by achieving sales targets, exemplifying brand values, and fostering a welcoming store environment. The Sales Assistant must demonstrate flexibility, a customer-focused approach, and adherence to company policies.


What You Will Do:

  • Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile.
  • Create a positive first impression for customers through an energetic attitude and adhering to the dress code.
  • Provide customers with current and relevant product information.
  • Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise, brand, and company.
  • Ensure a friendly and engaging personality to comfortably interact with the general public.
  • Generate sales by meeting or exceeding weekly sales targets.
  • Participate in all market hall inventories.
  • Follow IKEA policies and procedures 100%.
  • Assume and complete other duties as assigned by the shopkeeper.
  • Arrange products and maintain the sales floor standards.
  • Attend all store meetings and related functions.
  • Create a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
  • Be physically fit to lift stock and stand for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Work as part of a sales team, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration with peers and management.

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to lift and be physically active for extended periods.
