Role Overview
As Pool & Beach Supervisor at Banyan Tree Dubai, you will oversee the daily operations of the pool and beach areas, ensuring a seamless, safe, and highly personalised luxury guest experience. You will lead the service team, maintain brand standards, and ensure all guests receive intuitive, attentive, and effortless service in a resort-style outdoor environment.
You will act as a key link between guests, service teams, and management, ensuring operational excellence and exceptional hospitality delivery at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Ensure exceptional guest experience across all pool and beach areas.
- Proactively engage with guests to ensure comfort, satisfaction, and personalised service.
- Handle guest feedback, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure service delivery reflects Banyan Tree luxury standards at all times.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate Pool & Beach Waiters and attendants during shifts.
- Allocate sections, duties, and guest zones to ensure efficient coverage.
- Lead daily briefings and communicate operational priorities clearly.
- Coach, train, and support team members to ensure consistent service excellence.
- Monitor grooming, discipline, and adherence to brand standards.
Pool & Beach Operations
- Oversee daily setup of pool, beach, cabanas, sunbeds, and service stations.
- Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and organisation of all guest-facing areas.
- Monitor guest flow and service efficiency throughout the day.
- Ensure proper towel service, amenities, and guest comfort standards are maintained.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams for smooth order execution.
Food & Beverage Service Oversight
- Ensure accurate and timely order taking and delivery.
- Maintain strong product knowledge across food, beverage, and daily specials.
- Support upselling initiatives and revenue optimisation strategies.
- Monitor service quality and consistency across all guest interactions.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with pool safety regulations and operational guidelines.
- Monitor guest safety, particularly in outdoor and heat-exposed environments.
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP standards are strictly followed.
- Report and escalate incidents or operational risks immediately.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with daily reports, guest feedback logs, and shift handovers.
- Support rostering inputs and operational planning as required.
- Monitor stock levels for towels, amenities, and operational supplies.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within luxury hotels, beach clubs, or resorts.
- Strong background in outdoor Food & Beverage or leisure operations.
- Proven experience leading service teams in a high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of luxury service standards and guest experience delivery.
- Good knowledge of POS systems and operational procedures.
- Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
