Position Overview
The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory for construction materials, aluminum profiles, hardware, tools, consumables, and project-related equipment. The role also includes driving company vehicles for material deliveries and collections, ensuring efficient warehouse operations and timely support to project sites.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, tools, equipment, and deliveries.
- Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders, delivery notes, and Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Issue materials against approved Material Requisition Forms (MRFs) and update stock movements.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, excess stock, or slow-moving items.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure materials are stored safely and systematically.
- Conduct periodic stock counts, cycle counts, and annual physical inventory audits.
Logistics & Material Coordination
- Coordinate material deliveries and collections between suppliers, warehouse, factory, and project sites.
- Drive company vehicles for material transportation, document collection, and site support as required.
- Ensure timely dispatch of materials according to project schedules.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and safe handling of materials and equipment.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain:
- Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)
- Delivery Notes
- Material Issue Vouchers
- Stock Reports
- Inventory Reconciliation Reports
- Maintain proper filing of warehouse and inventory documentation.
- Update ERP or inventory management systems with accurate stock transactions.
Coordination
- Liaise with Procurement, Production, Project Engineers, Site Teams, and Suppliers to ensure smooth material flow.
- Support procurement by providing stock availability and reorder information.
- Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and material-related issues.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow proper material handling, storage, and lifting procedures.
- Report damaged materials, equipment, or unsafe conditions promptly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Storekeeper or Warehouse Assistant within the UAE.
- Experience in the construction, aluminum, façade, manufacturing, MEP, or building materials industry is highly preferred.
- Experience handling construction materials, aluminum profiles, hardware, tools, and consumables is an advantage.
Requirements
- Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License (Mandatory).
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Ability to lift and handle warehouse materials safely.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel between warehouse and project sites when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience operating forklifts (Forklift License is an advantage).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and material storage procedures.
- Familiarity with industrial areas such as Al Quoz, Dubai Industrial City (DIC), Dubai Investment Park (DIP), Jebel Ali, and Dubai South.
- Experience using ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar inventory management systems.
