Job Summary

The HSE Document Controller will be responsible for maintaining, controlling, and administering all Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that all HSE records are accurately maintained, properly distributed, securely archived, and comply with client, project, and regulatory requirements.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or an equivalent HSE qualification is preferred.
  • Certification or proficiency in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, Documentum, SharePoint, ProjectWise, or equivalent is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Document Controller.
  • At least 2 years of experience specifically as an HSE Document Controller.
  • Mandatory experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or large EPC Construction Projects.
  • Hands-on experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, Documentum, ProjectWise, SharePoint, or similar.
  • Experience managing HSE documentation, including:
    • Training records
    • Incident reports
    • Risk Assessments
    • Permit to Work (PTW) records
    • Audit and inspection records
  • Familiarity with ADNOC documentation standards and submission procedures is highly preferred.
  • Experience preparing and maintaining HSE KPI reports, dashboards, and statistical records.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for KPI tracking, dashboards, and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Experience in document numbering, revision control, document transmittals, and filing systems.
  • Good understanding of HSE Management Systems including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • High level of accuracy in data entry, document control, and database management.
  • Strong report preparation, formatting, and document presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
