About the role
The Room Service Server position provides an expertly served beverage or dining experience, anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options.
What you will do
Main Duties/Description:
1. Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
2. Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
3. Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, room service side stations and delivers complementary in room amenities as set for the program.
4. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
5. Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
6 Comply with Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards.
7. Work harmoniously and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
8. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Assistant Restaurant Manager and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.
What you bring
- A minimum of at least 1 year of experience in the similar role in a luxury brand
- An outgoing personality and a can-do approach to an assigned task
- High level of understanding and knowledge of food and/or wine
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
