Dry End Operator

Job Responsibilities

Operate and monitor the dry-end section of the corrugator line to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved.

Check machine parameters and operating conditions before the start of each shift to ensure equipment readiness.

Read and interpret job tickets, specification sheets, skid tags, and production documents.

Conduct quality inspections and monitor board quality throughout the production process.

Identify defects or abnormalities and report issues promptly to the Shift In Charge.

Record production quantities accurately and generate pallet identification labels.

Verify production quantities and monitor waste levels to minimize under-runs and over-runs.

Assist the Double Backer Operator and other production personnel to ensure uninterrupted production flow.

Monitor machine performance and report mechanical issues, malfunctions, or unsafe conditions.

Ensure all machine safety devices and guards are functioning properly.

Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.

Perform routine cleaning of machines and work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards.

Segregate waste materials and support waste reduction initiatives.

Comply with company policies, operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

Perform other duties assigned by management as required.

Requirements

Technical Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification preferred.

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in corrugated packaging, carton manufacturing, paper converting, or a similar production environment.

Experience operating corrugator equipment, preferably BHS Corrugator systems, is an advantage.

Knowledge of dry-end operations and corrugated board manufacturing processes.

Ability to read and interpret production specifications, job tickets, and quality requirements.

Understanding of machine operating parameters and quality control procedures.

Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment inspection skills.

Experience with production reporting and pallet label generation systems.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, safety awareness, and teamwork skills.

Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi, UAE.
