CHEF/KITCHEN LEAD
The Chef / Kitchen Lead is responsible for the preparation, production and execution of Daughter and Dad Coffee’s food menu. This includes managing daily kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, supporting menu development, controlling stock and ensuring all food safety and FSMS records are completed correctly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily preparation, production and presentation of all food items.
- Lead the kitchen team during service and ensure consistent quality, portion control and presentation.
- Support menu development, recipe testing, costing and supplier sourcing.
- Place food stock orders and communicate professionally with suppliers.
- Conduct daily and weekly stock checks to reduce spoilage, wastage and over-ordering.
- Ensure all food items are labelled, stored correctly and used within date.
- Complete temperature checks, cleaning records and food safety documentation.
- Maintain allergen, traceability and product specification records.
- Act as kitchen PIC when required and ensure HACCP/FSMS procedures are followed.
- Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness across all kitchen and preparation areas
Experience Required
- Minimum 3-5 years’ culinary experience in a commercial kitchen, café or catering environment.
- Previous experience leading a small kitchen team preferred.
- Knowledge of vegetarian, vegan, healthy café food, costing and menu development preferred.
- PIC Level 3 required or must be completed before starting / during onboarding.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary from AED 4,000 per month, depending on experience.
- Company employment visa and health insurance provided.
- Annual leave and other benefits as per UAE labour requirements.
Additional Requirements
- Must already be based in the UAE.
- Must be able to commute independently and organise own accommodation.
- Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
