Job Title: Driver (Live In)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reports to: Head of Household / Family Member
Employment Type: Full-time, live-in

Job Purpose

To provide safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for family members and to maintain the household’s vehicle(s) in clean, roadworthy condition at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive family members safely to and from scheduled destinations including school, work, appointments, social engagements, and errands.
• Manage daily school runs and adjust to changing schedules with minimal notice.
• Plan routes in advance, accounting for traffic, weather, and timing to ensure on-time arrival.
• Run household errands such as grocery collection, deliveries, pharmacy pickups, and document drop-offs.
• Keep the vehicle clean inside and out, and ensure it is fuelled, serviced, and ready for use.
• Monitor vehicle condition; report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate servicing, registration renewal, and Salik/toll top-ups.
• Maintain a basic log of mileage, fuel, and maintenance where required.
• Observe all UAE traffic laws and drive defensively at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding the family’s movements, schedule, and personal matters.
• Be available for occasional evening, weekend, or out-of-emirate travel as needed.

Requirements

• Valid UAE driving licence (manual and automatic) with a clean record.
• Minimum 1 year’ driving experience in the UAE, ideally with families.
• Thorough working knowledge of RTA and UAE federal traffic rules, the black points system, and safe-driving regulations, with a clean traffic record.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai and wider UAE roads, routes, and shortcuts.
• Familiarity with navigation apps (Google Maps, Waze) and Salik/RTA systems.
• Professional appearance, good conduct, and punctuality.
• Functional English; additional languages an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading and minor lifting.
• References from previous employers.

Working Conditions

• Live-in accommodation provided with one rest day per week.

Pay: AED2,000.00 per month
