Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant cum Office Assistant to support our finance and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting records, assisting with financial reporting, handling office administration tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. Experience in the UAE construction or contracting industry will be an added advantage.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Duties

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and bookkeeping entries.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
  • Coordinate with auditors and support annual audit activities.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT-related documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing of financial records and supporting documents.

Office Administration Duties

  • Handle general office correspondence, emails, and telephone inquiries.
  • Prepare letters, reports, quotations, and other business documents.
  • Maintain employee records and assist with HR-related documentation.
  • Coordinate office supplies, stationery, and administrative requirements.
  • Manage document control and filing systems.
  • Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and coordinate travel arrangements when required.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, government authorities, and service providers.
  • Support management with various administrative and operational tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in accounting and office administration.
  • Experience in the UAE is preferred.
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in construction, engineering, contracting, or manpower supply companies.
  • Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.
