Job Summary

We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy operations by handling insurance approvals, coordinating with insurance providers, and assisting pharmacists in ensuring smooth patient service. A pharmacy license is not required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and follow up on insurance approvals for prescribed medications.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies regarding authorization requests and coverage clarifications.
  • Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and administrative tasks.
  • Verify patient insurance details and eligibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of approvals, rejections, and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with patients regarding approval status and required documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and insurance procedures.
  • Support inventory and pharmacy administrative activities as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in insurance approvals within a pharmacy, clinic, or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of UAE insurance processes and healthcare regulations.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and healthcare systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Arabic language skills will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a pharmacy, medical center, or hospital.
  • Familiarity with major UAE insurance providers and approval portals.
