Procurement Officer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process for construction projects and office requirements. The ideal candidate will have UAE procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best pricing and delivery terms.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams, warehouse personnel, and suppliers to ensure smooth material delivery.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases and procurement records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment activities.
  • Compare quotations and prepare commercial evaluations for management approval.
  • Track purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure compliance with project schedules.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) for procurement transactions, reporting, and record management.
  • Generate procurement reports and support management with cost analysis and budgeting activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience within the UAE, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience using ERP systems, with SAP knowledge being highly preferred.
  • Good understanding of local suppliers and the UAE market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple procurement requests and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of UAE procurement regulations and market trends.
