Role: Pastry Chef

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Pastry Chef to lead the creation of world-class desserts and pastries for our concept. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking and presentation, have a strong sense of creativity, and maintain consistency in delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, create, and execute a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Design dessert menus that reflect creativity, seasonality, and brand identity.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all pastry items.
  • Manage kitchen operations related to pastry production, including inventory and cost control.
  • Train, supervise, and motivate junior pastry staff.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in compliance with HACCP standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new offerings and seasonal specials.
  • Monitor customer feedback and adjust recipes or presentation to enhance guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in upscale cafés, restaurants, or hotels.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and modern dessert trends.
  • Culinary diploma or certification in Pastry & Bakery preferred.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong eye for presentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cost control and inventory management.
