Houseperson

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Houseperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This position requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

  • Clean and maintain hallways, and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel’s cleanliness standards.
  • Change bed linens, towels, and other linens as needed.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
  • Vacuum carpets and clean floors using appropriate equipment.
  • Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens in rest rooms.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
  • Assist with laundry duties as required.
  • Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing to ensure guest safety.
  • Operation of the hotel shuttle.
  • Seasonal duties such as snow removal and watering of flowers and patio clean up.
  • Trash removal.
  • Must be at least 21 yrs of age with valid drivers license able to drive our complimentary guest shuttle

Skills

  • Experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping management practices within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated time frames.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
