Join Our Kitchen Team:
We are currently seeking Kitchen Helper|Dishwasher for our various kitchen outlets at Marriott on the Falls Hotel(i.e. Restaurant, Concierge Lounge, and Room Service) who has a passion for delivering outstanding service to our Guests. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this position is responsible for assisting in the efficient operations of the kitchen by ensuring all the flatware, chinaware, glassware, pots used in the food and beverage operations are cleaned, transported and stored in an orderly many.
What you’ll be doing:
Plating meals for events in the kitchen when required.
Clean and sanitize all china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots and pans in the hotel.
Responsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas, including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables and floors.
Adhering to all health and safety regulations and standards, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Completing all assigned tasks to set standards, as instructed by a manager or supervisor (while constantly seeking to improve).
Maintaining the dish room in a clean and orderly manner.
Reporting to work in proper attire and on time following proper clock in/ clock out as outlined in the employee handbook.
Participating in daily standup meetings.
Demonstrating appropriate Marriott service behaviours.
All others duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
Must be reliable and a self- starter.
High school or equivalent education preferred.
Must be reliable and a self- starter.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team setting.
Must be a highly motivated individual.
Outstanding attention to detail – in properly identifying cleanliness standards of pots/ dishes, cutlery, glassware and other kitchen utensils, and level of required attention needed
Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume; high-energy level/speed.
Kitchen experience preferred
Must be able to work evening and day shifts including weekends and holidays.
