Valemount ,BC is a small town located in the beautiful Robson Valley, just one hour across the Alberta boarder via Hwy 16 and Hwy 5. You will be surrounded by friendly people, lakes, rivers and snow capped mountains.

Kitchen/Line Cook

The Summit Grill (Best Western Plus) is looking for an experienced permanent fulltime Kitchen/Line Cook to join our amazing team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of an experienced kitchen team and work with exceptional seasonal products. 30-40 hours per week.

Job Overview:

· set up work station with appropriate supplies

• keep work area clean and help keep entire kitchen clean
• prepare and cook food on a regular basis, for special guests and functions

· Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety

· Assist with preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes

· Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus

· Reports to: Executive Chef

Experience and Qualifications:

Preferred at least 2 years of culinary experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and fluent communication skills in English
Ability to prioritize organize and follow through as necessary
Must possess a passion for food and developing knowledge of all cooking methods
Food Safe certification is an asset
Leadership experience an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
