AC Hotel by Marriott Asheville Biltmore Village is seeking a polished, service-driven General Manager to lead our hotel with a strong focus on operational excellence, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and team development. Located in the heart of historic Biltmore Village, our new AC hotel blends modern European-inspired design with the trusted standards of the Marriott brand. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of the hotel. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive revenue, control costs, maintain brand standards, and develop high-performing teams while ensuring consistent and elevated guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for all hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Sales
  • Drive financial performance by achieving revenue, profitability, and budget targets
  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and maintain strong guest service scores across all platforms
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop department leaders and associates to build a high-performing team culture
  • Maintain compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures
  • Monitor and manage labor costs, departmental expenses, and operational efficiencies
  • Partner with the sales and revenue management teams to grow market share, increase occupancy, and maximize RevPAR
  • Lead daily operations while maintaining a visible presence throughout the hotel
  • Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and service excellence

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience (Marriott brand experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record of improving and maintaining high guest satisfaction scores
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on operational environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, or related field preferred (not required)
