We are seeking an experienced, team focused, and service-focused Assistant General Manager with strong IHG brand knowledge and Opera PMS experience to help lead our hotel operations team. This position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining brand standards, and supporting overall hotel performance.

The ideal candidate has previous IHG hotel experience, understands brand compliance expectations, and is confident managing daily hotel operations using the Opera Property Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing all daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, and guest services
  • Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards, guest satisfaction goals, and operational procedures
  • Supervise and support hotel team members through coaching, training, and performance management
  • Utilize Opera PMS to manage reservations, room inventory, guest accounts, reporting, and operational workflows
  • Support revenue management initiatives to maximize occupancy and ADR performance
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure exceptional service recovery
  • Assist with scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and employee relations
  • Oversee night audit procedures and daily financial reconciliation
  • Maintain operational efficiency while supporting cleanliness, safety, and service excellence throughout the property
  • Partner with department leaders to drive teamwork, accountability, and guest satisfaction scores

Qualifications

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in an IHG hotel environment strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Opera PMS highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of hotel front office operations, guest services, and brand standards
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Experience with revenue management, labor controls, and hotel financial performance
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Night audit knowledge preferred
