A Houseman/Maintenance is responsible for supporting the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting room attendants, delivering supplies, and ensuring guests experience a clean, organized, and comfortable environment throughout the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain hotel lobbies, hallways, stairways, elevators, and public restrooms
  • Vacuum carpets, mop floors, dust furniture, and polish fixtures
  • Remove trash and replace liners in public areas
  • Deliver clean linens, towels, and guest supplies to floors
  • Collect and transport dirty linens to the laundry area
  • Assist with moving beds or furniture when needed
  • Restock housekeeping carts and storage rooms
  • Deliver guest requests (extra beds, cribs, rollaway beds, amenities)
  • Handle light maintenance reporting (report damages or safety issues)
  • Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies
  • Ensure storage areas remain clean and organized
  • Performs minor equipment
  • Maintains lighting (Changing bulbs, ballasts as )
  • Works closely with maintenance supervisor to develop more in-depth knowledge/s kills.

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg)
  • Good physical stamina and attention to detail
  • Basic communication skills
