Job Overview

  • We are a commercial fencing and masonry contractor specializing in precast concrete fence systems. Our projects serve commercial clients throughout the San Antonio region and include: Precast perimeter walls, apartment & townhome fencing, parking lot fences, property dividers, commercial security walls and noise barrier walls
  • We are looking for a full-time Batch Plant Laborer. You’ll be a hands-on contributor to high-volume concrete production operations. You’ll pour, finish, and strip concrete forms, set rebar, keep the plant clean, and help keep equipment running. You’ll work as part of a crew. No experience required as On-the-Job Training is Provided. This is a hands-on outdoor role that involves masonry work, and general construction labor. Responsibilities

  • Produce concrete mixes according to approved mix designs and precast template specifications
  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of concrete batching equipment, including mixers and conveyors.
  • Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks as needed for project completion
  • Support high-volume concrete production operations
  • Maintain consistent mix quality and monitor batching accuracy
  • Setting rebar before pouring, finishing, and striping concrete forms
  • Establish, monitor, and adjust process parameters temperature, pressure, cycle time for the designated design of the precast mold.
  • Track material usage and monitor aggregate, cement, and mixture inventory
  • Set up and perform corrective changes on pre-cast forms, focused on quality, uptime, and material efficiency
  • Monitor production runs to ensure parts meet quality control and template specifications
  • Perform first-article inspections and verify process documentation
  • Support new mold trials, sampling, and process validation
  • Optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and improve overall process efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs
  • Communicate proactively with management regarding production updates, challenges, and improvement opportunities

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret process sheets and quality documentation
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
  • Experience supporting new mold startups or process improvements preferred
  • Maintain accurate production reports for designated job sites.
  • Experience working with concrete mixers, forming, or finishing enhances your suitability for this role

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Prior warehouse experience or background in manufacturing or construction environments is preferred
  • Ability to work as a team member quickly, safely, and responsibly
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50–75 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must have reliable transportation
