Locally owned small animal Veterinarian Clinic in Talent, OR is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented, and motivated person to be a part of our dedicated team of professionals. Must be willing to work with doctors and other clinic positions to help our patients and their humans. All team members work hard to help each other with daily tasks to ensure we all make it to the end of the day happy and reassured we made a difference in the lives of our patients.

The Kennel Technician is responsible for supporting the clinic through regular facility maintenance and basic animal husbandry. Experience in the animal care/veterinary field is preferred but not required.

This is an hourly position. Pay will be based on experience. Veterinary experience is not necessary.

Primary Responsibilities

• Keep the facility clean and presentable for patients, staff, and clients
• Help the team manage clinic inventory during day-to-day use
• Appropriately disinfect exam rooms and kennels between patients
• Restock, clean, and straighten exam rooms/treatment area
• Work with all other positions to ensure an efficient workflow throughout the day
• Be able to assist with lifting heavy objects
• Be able to assist with limited animal restraint/transport
• Provide general animal care (feeding, watering, and walking animals)
• Demonstrate warmth and professionalism in all interactions with clients.
• Exercise compassion and care for all patients.
• Demonstrate initiative and teamwork in everyday duties.
• Ensure that all workstations are organized and clean.
• Other duties as assigned (Help answer phones, help clients, clean the yard, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
