Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests, present menus, and provide detailed information about food and beverages.
- Take customer orders accurately and serve food & drinks promptly.
- Ensure tables are clean, set, and maintained throughout service.
- Handle guest complaints or requests politely and efficiently.
- Cross-sell and upsell menu items by suggesting promotions, special dishes, and pairing options (e.g., recommending desserts, beverages, or add-ons).
- Process bills, handle payments, and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a waitress/waiter in a hotel or fine dining restaurant preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and handle busy service hours.
- Good knowledge of cross-selling and upselling techniques.
- Positive attitude, team player, and professional appearance.
Cross-Selling & Upselling Skills:
- Suggesting side dishes, appetizers, or desserts to enhance the order.
- Recommending premium beverages or signature cocktails.
- Promoting daily specials or chef’s recommendations.
- Encouraging guests to try combo meals or upgraded portions.
