Full job description
BASIC FUNCTIONS:

· Sets up dining area for breakfast

· Ensures food is proper quality

· Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all work surface areas, food service areas, coolers, tables, counters, chairs and floor

· Follows the “clean as you go” policy at all times

· Monitors associate food use and tallies meals consumed

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain complete knowledge of

o Hours of operation

o Expected number of meals to be served based on occupancy

o Safety and sanitation requirements

o Proper storage procedures

o Check quality and amount of all breakfast stock and supplies using checklist

o Requisition necessary supplies according to standard

o Prepare and set up all condiments and non-alcoholic beverages

o Stock designated supply of silverware, glassware, chinaware, utensils, tools and other equipment for service

o Inspect cleanliness and condition of tables and service areas; rectify any deficiencies

o Set up and prepare the service line/areas

· Ensure that all equipment is in working order and clean

o Rectify any deficiencies and report maintenance problems to the manager or purchaser

o Receive food from the kitchen and place in designated holding areas at specified temperature

o Maintain supply levels of stock, food and non-alcoholic beverages to designated amounts throughout scheduled hours of operation

o Monitor and maintain the quality of all food and cleanliness on service lines

ATTENTION TO DETAIL:

· Close door to prep area while open for breakfast.

· Be careful with equipment. Don’t scrape walls when going through hallways. Watch for guests when restocking area. Use cones to advise guest that floor or carpet may be wet.

· Be alert to all possible hazards and practice safety at all times for our guests and your fellow workers.

· Inform your supervisor or MOD if someone is in the stairwells, back landing or hallways that you feel is not a registered guest. Safety First.

ATTITUDE:

· Be friendly and responsible to our guests’ needs.

· Keep your voice low so you will not disturb the guests in their rooms.

· Always respond to a guest request. If you do not know the answer, tell the guest that you will check with your supervisor and be sure to get back to the guest with the information.

· Be as pleasant as possible without interrupting the guest with unnecessary conversation.

· Be friendly and respectful to your fellow workers..
