The Best Western Plus Sands is a 121-room hotel located in the heart of Vancouver’s West End. We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Overnight Cleaner & Maintenance to join our team and support our housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage operations.

This position is ideal for someone who works well independently, takes pride in cleanliness, and is comfortable handling both cleaning and basic maintenance duties during overnight shifts.

This is an overnight position. We are looking to fill Wednesday to Sunday from 11pm-7:30am.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain two on-site restaurants & simulator bar after closing
• Clean and sanitize kitchen and back-of-house areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the property
• Remove garbage, recycling, and bottles
• Transport restaurant laundry to the hotel laundry room
• Maintain cleanliness of the hotel lobby and common areas
• Conduct parking lot and exterior property checks
• Respond to radio calls from the front desk for guest amenity requests
• Complete basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs as needed
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
• Assist with emergency cleanups or guest service requests overnight
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, maintenance, or hospitality experience is an asset
• Ability to work independently and stay organized overnight
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair tasks preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Able to lift and move supplies, garbage and laundry as required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Availability for overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
