Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing phone systems, handling reservations, coordinating with housekeeping, and delivering exceptional service to every guest.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression.
  • Manage incoming calls using a phone system, ensuring proper phone etiquette at all times and directing calls appropriately.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for in-house reservations and guest records.
  • Assist with management duties, including booking and managing reservations, processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
  • Handle inquiries from guests and provide hotel information, local recommendations, and directions as needed.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Set up and maintain the hotel’s complimentary breakfast area, ensuring cleanliness, restocking supplies, and assisting guests as needed.
  • Process payments, issue room keys, and handle cash/credit transactions accurately.
  • Monitor lobby areas to ensure a clean, welcoming environment at all times.
  • Assist with light administrative tasks such as printing, data entry, and filing.

  • Respond to guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or similar administrative role preferred.
  • Strong management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using phone systems and a reservation software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and management professionally.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or hospitality training a plus.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash, billing, and guest payments accurately.
