Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cleaning and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will ensure that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in custodial services and facilities maintenance. The Housekeeping Manager will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean environment for all clients and staff.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures aligned with company standards
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
- Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of hand tools, power tools, and custodial equipment
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment, including maintenance of power tools and hand tools
- Oversee facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs using hand tools or power tools as needed
- Ensure heavy lifting tasks are performed safely by staff and assist with such tasks when necessary
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records related to staff performance, inventory, and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance with supervisory responsibilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, custodial equipment, hand tools, power tools, and basic facilities maintenance
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional communication skills for team coordination and customer interaction
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Prior experience in managing commercial cleaning operations or similar environments is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety standards are met
