Position Summary:
The Kitchen Assistant works as a member of the team under the direction and supervision of the Kitchen Supervisor to create infused edible products.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for helping the Production Department meet the production demand quantity and quality in accordance with company mission, goals, and objectives.
- Responsible for completing any work assigned to them during their scheduled shift.
- The Kitchen Assistant(s) will be responsible for his or her own station, ensuring that all items are appropriately sanitized and ready for use before and after each shift.
- Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Working knowledge of weights and measures.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Detailed oriented mind set with focus on efficiency, quality and sanitation.
- Responsible for following all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Reviews training procedures and seeks continued education to ensure delivery on all job functions
- Assist with the creation/manufacturing of marijuana infused edible products
- Documentation and continued development of changing internal processes for Production department.
- Ensures all standards for processing edibles are followed
- Compliance with Health Department Regulations.
- Assuring compliance with local, state, and federal billing or licensing requirements
- Quality control methods are adhered to throughout entire process
- Comprehension and demonstration of “Good Manufacturing Processes”
- Continuously improves skills, knowledge base, and motivations to assist in creating an environment where the entire team does the same.
- Follows all safety programs and protocols and provides updates as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications:
- Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of Deep Roots Harvest.
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences,
- Ability to work effectively with employees, management, customers, other governmental agencies, community members and the general public.
- Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with complex statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.
- Represent the company in a professional manner when communicating or interacting with all local community, state, or federal officials.
- Observe and maintain all safety procedures and protocols
