Join our dedicated team as a Housekeeper at Legacy Senior Living in Canada. Located in the heart of our community, this role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, reflecting our core values of care and service.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the Lead Housekeeper include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operation of the department to ensure service standards are followed
  • Conduct room inspections to ensure that room standards are met to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Perform ongoing training of all Housekeepers
  • Resolve complaints and problems from residents
  • Perform all housekeeping clerical tasks for housekeeping operation
  • Maintain a safe working environment in all sections of the Housekeeping department
  • Understand the need and willingness to work in other housekeeping positions as required
  • Participates in recruitment and selection, training, and performance management of all housekeeping staff
  • Participates in associate probationary and annual reviews

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
  • Assist with laundry and linen services as needed.
  • Restock cleaning supplies and ensure equipment is well-maintained.
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold a welcoming environment.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure resident safety.
  • Support special cleaning projects during community events or seasonal changes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in cleaning or custodial roles, preferably in senior living or hospitality settings.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely.
