Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring smooth transactions
• Engage with guests warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs promptly
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with accuracy and integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas
• Assist in food preparation tasks for light snacks or café offerings when needed
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality

Requirements

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service within a café or retail environment
• Familiarity with POS systems like Toast POS is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food preparation and serving
