Head Housekeeper | Private Luxury Estate
Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Head Housekeeper to oversee and elevate the daily housekeeping operations of a distinguished private estate. This role requires a refined professional with an impeccable eye for detail, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of luxury living. The ideal candidate understands the importance of discretion, organization, and seamless service, ensuring every space within the residence is maintained to pristine, five-star standards at all times.
As Head Housekeeper, you will lead and mentor the housekeeping team while creating an environment that reflects elegance, comfort, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and inspire the housekeeping team to maintain the estate at an exceptional level of cleanliness, presentation, and organization.
- Establish and oversee daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning schedules to ensure all interior spaces are impeccably maintained.
- Ensure all bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces, kitchens, and guest areas are consistently presented to luxury hospitality standards.
- Train staff on refined housekeeping techniques, garment and linen care, proper handling of delicate materials, and estate service etiquette.
- Conduct regular inspections of the residence to ensure flawless presentation, attention to detail, and adherence to estate standards.
- Oversee specialized care of fine furnishings, marble, wood finishes, metal, glass, artwork, antiques, rugs, and other high-value household items.
- Manage inventory of household supplies, linens, amenities, and cleaning products, ensuring the estate is always fully stocked and organized.
- Coordinate deep cleaning projects, seasonal rotations, and special preparations for guests, events, and principal arrivals.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion regarding all estate matters and family affairs.
- Collaborate closely with Estate Management and household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations throughout the property.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury private estates, ultra-high-net-worth residences, luxury hospitality, or boutique hotel environments.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and training housekeeping teams.
- Exceptional knowledge of luxury household care, fabric care, fine surfaces, and organizational systems.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to anticipate needs and uphold uncompromising standards.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with discretion, flexibility, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Experience creating and maintaining structured housekeeping systems, inventories, and maintenance schedules is highly preferred.
- Understanding of proper safety practices, cleaning procedures, and household protocols.
