Bickmore Diversified LLC is hiring Heavy Civil Laborers to support our bridge, concrete, demolition, pile driving, and heavy civil construction work throughout Maine.

We are looking for dependable, hard-working people who are not afraid of physical work, can follow direction, and want to grow with a company building a strong reputation in the heavy civil industry.

This is a hands-on field position. Work may include bridge joint replacements, concrete demolition and repair, forming and placing concrete, site preparation, rigging support, and general heavy civil labor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with bridge repair, and heavy civil construction work
  • Perform concrete demolition, chipping, grinding, saw cutting, drilling, and surface preparation
  • Assist with forming, placing, finishing, patching, and repairing concrete
  • Support excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation activities
  • Work safely around excavators, loaders, skid steers, cranes, trucks, and other heavy equipment
  • Assist with rigging, signaling, material handling, and crane support when needed
  • Install erosion control, temporary fencing, traffic control, and jobsite protection
  • Use hand tools, power tools, jackhammers, chipping guns, grinders, compactors, saws, and drills
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
  • Follow instructions from foremen, operators, supervisors, and project leadership
  • Work outdoors in changing weather conditions on active construction sites

Preferred Experience

  • Bridge construction, heavy civil, concrete, demolition, site work, or utility experience
  • Experience with jackhammers, chipping guns, grinders, saws, drills, compactors, and basic power tools
  • Experience working around cranes, excavators, loaders, skid steers, and trucks
  • Rigging, signaling, equipment spotting, or crane support experience is a plus
  • Concrete forming, placing, finishing, or patching experience is a plus
  • OSHA 10 preferred
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • CDL, equipment operation, welding, pile driving, or environmental remediation experience is a plus
