Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Server to join our team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. If you have a passion for food service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Arrive at scheduled time and be ready to work. Escort guests to their tables, present menus and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and present daily specials, making recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy. Monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to correct any problems. Explain to guests how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods. Educate guests about Faultline Farm; what we’re currently harvesting and growing and invite them to tour the Farm before or after their meal. Describe and recommend wines & beverages that will compliment menu items. Bring wine selection to table with appropriate glasses and pour the wine for guests. Take food or beverages orders from guests. Accurately enter orders for food and beverages in the POS system. Assist host or hostess by answering phones to take reservations or to-go orders, and by greeting, seating, and thanking guests. Perform food preparation duties such as preparing bread, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee. Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks for guests, and chill bottles of wine. Check guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Serve food or beverages to guests and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required. If a guest is unhappy with a food or drink item, you need to have the skill of tactfully managing and correcting the problem. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes and collect payments. Insure guest produces a room key when charging to their room. Roll silverware, set up food stations, and dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties. Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers. Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens. Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Remove dishes and glasses from tables, carrying into kitchen for cleaning. Perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, tidying up server station, taking out trash, or checking and cleaning bathroom. Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return. Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. All other duties as assigned.
