Guest Service Agents at the Elora Mill Hotel & Spa are dedicated to assisting guests in many ways; warmly greet guests upon arrival, taking them thorough check-ins and check-outs, making reservations for our rooms, spa, restaurant and other activities, as well as providing information and completing other related duties. We provide our service in a prompt, courteous and professional manner consistent with a luxury hotel operation and seek to provide an experience that surpasses our guest’s expectations.

Compensation for this role of $22.00/hour, includes a base wage of $20/hour, plus service commissions that have been estimated at an additional $2.00/hr. Commission amounts will vary depending on factors such as guest volume, and seasonality. While commissions are not guaranteed, they have consistently contributed to overall earnings in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing personalized and exceptional guest services at every opportunity.
  • Assisting guests with check-in and check-out, warmly welcoming them to the property and promoting repeat stays.
  • Ensuring guests are aware of facilities on site and provide information on any property updates or activities in place during their stay.
  • Accommodating special request whenever possible, working closely with the Bell Team to ensure actions are prompt and complete.
  • Taking detailed reservations by phone, for the hotel, the spa, restaurant and other special events, when necessary.
  • Developing a thorough knowledge of room pricing and packages, room locations and types of room.
  • Making hotel reservations for guests including coordinating meals and spa treatments.
  • Assisting Bell staff with luggage and other duties if required.
  • Performing office duties such as routine cash handling procedures, posting accounts, maintaining keys for rooms.
  • Suggesting additional products and services meeting our guests’ specific preferences.
