Full job description

The Golf Attendant (or Cart Attendant/Outside Services) provides crucial customer service and operational support, primarily managing the golf cart fleet, assisting golfers with bags, and maintaining the driving range. Key duties include cleaning and staging carts, greeting guests, cleaning clubs, and keeping the clubhouse area tidy.

Compensation:

$16.50 hourly
Responsibilities:

  • Cart Fleet Management: Cleaning, washing, refueling (gas) or charging (electric) carts, and storing them after use.
  • Guest Services: Greeting guests, loading/unloading golf bags, and offering assistance to enhance the customer experience.
  • Driving Range Maintenance: Picking up range balls, washing them, and keeping the range ball dispenser full.
  • Course Operations Support: Assisting with tournament set-up, monitoring the driving range, and maintaining cleanliness in the cart barn and bag drop area.
  • Pro Shop/Starter Duties: Assisting with tee time management, enforcing club rules, and potentially helping with rental equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Skills: Friendly demeanor, courteous, and polite.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting golf bags and standing/walking for long periods.
  • Experience: Previous experience in golf or customer service is often preferred, but not always necessary.
  • Valid License: A valid driver’s license is often required to operate golf carts.

Work Environment

  • Often a seasonal position (spring through fall).
  • Physical, fast-paced work environment, mostly outdoors.
  • Shifts frequently include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
