Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Host/Foodrunner to join our dynamic restaurant team! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. You will ensure smooth seating arrangements, assist with guest inquiries, and deliver food with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
  • Manage waitlists and reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Resy and Toast.
  • Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and proper seating arrangements
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to relay guest orders accurately
  • Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to tables, maintaining presentation quality
  • Assist in clearing tables and resetting them for new guests in a timely manner
  • Answer guest questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies with clarity and enthusiasm
  • Maintain cleanliness of host stand, waiting areas, and dining spaces to uphold high standards of hospitality
  • Support guest relations by addressing concerns politely and professionally, ensuring a positive experience

Skills

  • Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a welcoming demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
  • Experience in food service or restaurant operations enhances your ability to multitask efficiently
  • Knowledge of hotel or guest services can be advantageous for delivering exceptional hospitality
  • Ability to handle phone inquiries using proper phone etiquette with professionalism and courtesy
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements
