Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos when applicable
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring merchandise is well-presented through merchandising and stocking
• Upsell relevant products to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales goals
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and practicing professional phone etiquette
• Support store operations by supervising junior team members during shifts when required

Requirements

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not mandatory
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction balancing
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain a friendly demeanor under pressure
• Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and work flexible hours as needed
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management
