Sales Manager

Job Summary
The Sales Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for leading all sales initiatives for the Hampton Inn by Hilton Hamilton, with a primary focus on driving guest room and meeting room revenue. The role requires strategic planning, proactive relationship development, effective team leadership, and a strong results-oriented approach to consistently exceed revenue targets and market share objectives.
Strategic Sales & Business Development
- In this important role, you will handle overall activities of Sales Department.
- Develop, implement, and optimize the hotel’s annual sales plan to achieve revenue and market share goals.
- Identify and target key market segments i.e. corporate, leisure, group, event business etc.
- Actively solicit new business through prospecting, relationship building, networking, and client site visits.
- Prepare, negotiate, and secure contracts, proposals, and agreements in alignment with hotel goals and pricing parameters.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and industry shifts to inform strategy adjustments.
- Up-date Hotel and all 3rd parties’ websites for hotel details and rates.
- Plan and execute hotel marketing campaigns and promotional activities to increase brand awareness and drive demand.
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives (website content, social media, email campaigns) and ensure consistent messaging.
- Collaborate with external vendors, tourism partners, and media outlets to amplify promotional reach.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, local business forums, and community functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct professional site inspections, client presentations, and familiarization tours.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by responding to inquiries and managing all sales-related communications professionally and promptly.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to support pricing strategies, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and present insights to senior leadership.
- Manage departmental budget and expenses associated with sales and marketing activities.
- Close coordination with Guest Services and other departments for guest requests.
Requirements
- Knowledge of hotel operating system “PEP” Property Engagement PLATFORM by Hilton.
- Requirements include a High School Diploma (College Diploma or University degree in related field preferred)
- 1-3 years of experience in a Hotel Sales leadership position with direct reports, excellent telephone skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and high proficiency in MSWord, MS Excel, MS Power Point & MS Outlook.
- Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, social media and relationship-building skills
- Travel to attend workshops, trade shows, brand meetings, etc.
- Flexible hours based on business needs, including potential evenings and weekends.
